The heart of the pool's circulation system
The pump moves water through the filter, heater or heat pump, chlorine generator, water features, and plumbing. It can also power in-floor cleaning systems and automatic cleaners. A pool pump should circulate all pool water at least once a day. And efficiency is what counts. Greater efficiency means lower utility costs. The key to pump efficiency lies deep in the heart of the pump’s design. The secret is to minimize turbulence as water passes through the pump. Less turbulence means less energy and less noise.
If you're considering adding an automatic cleaner, ask your pool builder to recommend a pump with adequate power to handle the additional demands.

Clean, Clear, Sparkling Water
By removing impurities such as dirt, leaves, grass, hair, body oils, sunscreen, and even many bacteria from the water, the filter keeps your pool water clean, clear and inviting. Once the pump collects water from your pool, it is cycled through your filter to be cleaned before it enters the heater or heat pump or returns to your pool or spa.
The filter should be sized to meet the requirements of your pool and the performance characteristics of the pump. Your pool builder or pool equipment dealer can recommend the proper filter/pump combination for your pool.
Three types of Pool Filters are available namely Sand, Diatomaceous earth (D.E.) and Cartridge Filters. More information can be found below:Sand
Sand filters are one of the most popular ways to filter water. For good reason. They are simple, effective, and require very little attention. Pool water is routed through a sand-filled pressure vessel. Over time, dirt accumulates in the spaces between the sand particles causing the pressure in the vessel to rise as water finds it harder to pass through. This signals you to “backwash” the filter. Simply reverse the water flow and “knock out” the dirt.
Our new ClearPro Technology® traps particles five times smaller than sand alone, delivering 60% cleaner water. ClearPro is only available on our most popular sand filters: Sand Dollar®, Tagelus® and Triton® II.
Filtering with D.E. filters results not only in clean water, but water that really sparkles. The secret is powdered prehistoric sponges that trap even the tiniest dirt particles. Even though particles smaller than 40 microns can’t be seen with the naked eye, large quantities of these microscopic contaminants have a very noticeable affect on water clarity. And D.E. strips them away.
D.E. filters not only filter better, they can make your life easier…if two goals are met. First is to maximize the filtration area. Because more filter area means much longer periods between cleanings. Second is to design a system that requires the least amount of pumping power to achieve a needed flow rate through the filter. Because lower pumping power means lower utility costs.
Quad D.E.® and System:3® Mod D.E. filters combine the maximum filtration of a D.E. filter with the convenience and easy cleaning features of a cartridge filter. Plus, they are our Eco Select™ brand choices for D.E. filters.
For top-end filter performance with the lowest maintenance, look at a cartridge filter. This proven design uses special fabric filter elements to strip particles from pool water with great effectiveness. Maintenance? Open the top. Remove the cartridge. Hose it off. What could be simpler?
Clean & Clear® Plus and System:3® Mod Media™ cartridge filters handle 2-3 times more dirt than other cartridge filters to deliver maintenance-free performance for up to a full season. Plus, they are our Eco Select™ brand choices for cartridge filters.
Standard Pool Lighting
Light up your nights
Standard pool and spa lighting is a must for nighttime pool safety and enjoyment. But their usefulness doesn't end with simply illuminating darkened pools. Standard pool lights can also enhance your pool and spa's beauty and help create an inviting backyard environment after the sun goes down.
Pentair’s AquaLumin® III and AquaLight® halogen and Amerlite® and SpaBrite® incandescent lighting have been the standard for reliability in underwater pool lighting for decades. In fact, they light over 3 million pools worldwide.
